Last updated: 27 May 2026 Brand Atlas is committed to making the Service accessible to as broad a range of users as possible. This Statement describes our accessibility target, our current conformance, the known limitations, and how to report issues.

1. Conformance target

Brand Atlas targets Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA conformance across: WCAG 2.2 Level AA is the de facto baseline referenced by the European Accessibility Act (EAA), EN 301 549, US ADA case law, UK Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations (PSBAR), and equivalent regulation as of 2026.

2. Current conformance status

We have not yet completed a third-party accessibility audit against WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Our internal assessment indicates substantial conformance in the application’s primary read and edit flows. A formal external audit is planned for Q4 2026.

3. Known limitations

We are aware of the following gaps. We are working to address them:
  • Custom block editor. Some interactive blocks in the visual editor have known keyboard-navigation gaps. Affected users can author Horizons via MDX upload as an alternative path.
  • Embedded third-party content. Embeds (Figma frames, YouTube videos, etc.) inherit their providers’ accessibility. We do not control the accessibility of embedded content.
  • AI conversation panels. Oswald and Henry chat interfaces are being assessed for screen-reader compatibility; some announcement patterns are still being refined.
  • Documentation site. The docs site uses Mintlify’s components; accessibility depends on the underlying component library.

4. Compliance with regulation

European Accessibility Act

The EAA (Directive (EU) 2019/882) makes accessibility a legal requirement for many consumer-facing digital products and services. Enforcement under Article 2 of the Directive applies to products placed on the market from 28 June 2025 per Davis Wright Tremaine’s legal analysis (dwt.com, 2025). As a digital service offered to EU consumers, Brand Atlas is in scope of the EAA’s accessibility obligations. Our WCAG 2.2 Level AA target is the established route to EAA compliance.

ADA and Section 508 (United States)

Brand Atlas’s WCAG 2.2 Level AA target meets the de facto standard cited in ADA Title III case law and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.

UK Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations

PSBAR applies to UK public sector bodies. While Brand Atlas is not itself a public sector body, customers in the UK public sector using Brand Atlas can rely on our WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance as part of their PSBAR posture.

5. Features supporting accessibility

  • Semantic HTML. Headings, landmarks, and lists are marked up semantically.
  • Keyboard navigation. All primary flows can be completed without a mouse.
  • Focus indicators. Visible focus rings on all interactive elements.
  • Skip links. Allow keyboard users to skip past navigation to main content.
  • Colour contrast. Default theme meets 4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text. Customers configuring custom themes can use the Colour System section’s accessibility pairings to maintain conformance.
  • Resizable text. Supports browser-native text scaling to 200% without horizontal scrolling.
  • Alt text. Required on uploaded images via the editor’s accessibility check.
  • Captions and transcripts. Where Brand Atlas publishes video content (the docs site, marketing), captions and transcripts are provided.

6. Assistive technology compatibility

We test the Service with:
  • Screen readers: NVDA (Windows), VoiceOver (macOS, iOS), TalkBack (Android).
  • Voice control: Voice Control (macOS), Dragon NaturallySpeaking (Windows).
  • Browser-native zoom and high-contrast modes.
Compatibility is good with current versions of the above. Older versions may have specific gaps; please report any encountered.

7. Reporting accessibility issues

If you encounter an accessibility barrier, write to accessibility@brandatlas.pro. Useful information:
  • The page or feature where the barrier occurred.
  • The assistive technology you were using.
  • The specific behaviour you encountered.
  • What you expected.
We acknowledge accessibility reports within five working days and provide an estimated resolution timeline within ten.

8. Alternative access

Where a specific feature is not yet fully accessible, we can often provide an alternative. For example, brand record updates that are difficult through the visual editor can be made through MDX upload; AI features can be operated via a CLI on request. Contact accessibility@brandatlas.pro to arrange alternative access.

9. Roadmap

Accessibility improvements in our roadmap:
  • Q3 2026: Improved keyboard navigation in the visual editor.
  • Q3 2026: Enhanced screen-reader announcements for AI conversation panels.
  • Q4 2026: Third-party WCAG 2.2 Level AA audit.
  • 2027: Targeted improvements based on audit findings and accumulated user reports.

10. Changes

We update this Statement when our conformance status changes substantively.
