Upgrading
Upgrades take effect immediately on payment.Click Change tier
The available tiers are listed with their current prices. Choose the destination tier.
Review the change
Brand Atlas shows the prorated charge: the difference between what you have paid for the current period and what the new tier costs for the remainder. Confirm to apply.
The new features unlock
The new tier’s features are available immediately. Oswald, if applicable, takes a few minutes to initialise the first time. Team seats are available immediately. Horizons limits update on the spot.
You are on the new tier. Your next invoice will be at the new tier’s full rate.
Downgrading
Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period to avoid mid-period feature loss.Review what changes
Brand Atlas shows what will be different on the lower tier. This includes:
- The change in team seat count, and whether any current team members will need to be removed or paused to fit.
- The change in active Horizons limit, and which Horizons will be archived in order of last edit if the new limit is lower than the current count.
- The loss of AI features (Oswald on a Guardian → Keeper downgrade, Henry on a Keeper → Scout downgrade).
- The change in brand record history retention.
Confirm the downgrade
The downgrade is scheduled. You continue on the current tier until the billing period ends. You can cancel the scheduled downgrade any time before then by clicking Cancel downgrade.
What is preserved across tier changes
The brand record is preserved. Specifically:- The eight standard sections. Always present, on every tier.
- All Horizons. Active Horizons remain visible; if a downgrade exceeds the active limit, the surplus are archived in order of last edit and can be restored after a later upgrade.
- The brand record history. History within the new tier’s retention window is preserved. On a downgrade from Guardian (unlimited) to Keeper (12 months), entries older than 12 months are summarised; the underlying data is not deleted but is no longer surfaced in the full-fidelity history view.
- Team membership. Team members remain in the team. If a downgrade reduces the seat count below the current team size, the brand owner is asked to pause or remove specific members before the downgrade applies.
- Guest Passes. Active passes continue until their expiry. New passes are limited by the new tier’s cap.
What changes immediately on downgrade
- AI features. Oswald (Guardian) is disabled. Henry (Keeper+) is disabled if downgrading to Scout. Conversation history is retained for 30 days; no further interactions are possible.
- Update Requests. On a downgrade to Scout, Update Requests stop being accepted. Requests already raised remain visible and can be approved or rejected.
- New Horizons. New Horizon creation is gated by the new limit. Existing active Horizons within the limit continue normally.
Pausing instead of downgrading
If you need to pause the brand atlas for a few months (a brand on hiatus, a project between phases), pause the subscription rather than downgrading. A paused subscription:- Retains the brand record at full fidelity.
- Disables team and Guest Pass access.
- Suspends AI features.
- Stops billing.
