MadeBy_ takes a small number of engagements at a time. The shapes of work are described on About MadeBy_; this page covers how to start a conversation, what to send, and what the first few weeks tend to look like.

How to reach us

The right entry point depends on what you need.
  • Brand identity build, brand evolution, atlas setup. Write to hello@madeby.wtf. Project enquiries.
  • Brand maintenance retainer for an existing Brand Atlas customer. Open Settings → MadeBy_ Services in the portal. We respond inside the atlas where the work will happen.
  • Press, partnerships, speaking. press@madeby.wtf.

What to include in a first message

A useful first email runs three to five short paragraphs and covers:
  1. The brand. The name, the URL, a sentence on what the company does, and a sentence on where it is in its lifecycle (new, established, evolving, struggling).
  2. The work. What you are hoping we will do. A complete rebuild, a partial refresh, a maintenance retainer, an atlas setup. If you are not sure which, say so; that is part of the conversation.
  3. The constraints. Timeline, budget range, and any non-negotiables (a specific delivery date, a regulatory constraint, a partner the work needs to align with).
  4. Background. Anything you have already written or designed that frames the work: a strategy deck, a previous brand book, a competitive landscape, a moodboard.
You do not need to write a brief. Most projects begin with a fragment of information; we develop the brief together. Send what you have.

What happens after you write

The first response usually comes within two working days. From there, three steps:
  1. A 30-minute conversation. Calendly link, video call. We ask questions; you ask questions; we both decide whether the engagement is a fit.
  2. A scoping proposal. Within a week of the call, we send a one-page scope: shape of the engagement, deliverables, timeline, fee, and what is and is not included. The scope is a draft; revisions are expected.
  3. A signed engagement. Once the scope is agreed, a contract is signed and a kickoff is scheduled. Most engagements kick off within two to four weeks of the first conversation.

What we ask of you

Engagement quality depends on a small number of things from the client side:
  • A single point of contact with authority. Usually the brand owner or a designated brand lead. Engagements stall when decisions need to be routed through committees.
  • A willingness to disagree well. The work is better when you push back. We are not looking for approval; we are looking for the right answer.
  • Honest constraint surfacing. Budget, timeline, legacy decisions you cannot revisit. Naming these early shapes the work; surfacing them late breaks it.
  • Time at the right moments. Most of the engagement does not need you. The moments that do (the strategy session, the identity reveal, the handover) need you actually in the room.

Pricing shape

We do not publish standard rates because the engagements are too variable to make rates meaningful. As a directional set of ranges:
  • Brand identity build. Six-figure projects are common. Smaller, narrower projects exist.
  • Brand evolution. Mid-five to low-six figures depending on scope.
  • Brand maintenance retainer. Mid-four to low-five figures monthly depending on cadence.
  • Atlas-only setup. Low to mid-four figures one-time.
These are illustrative, not quoted. The scoping proposal carries the actual number.

Working language and time zone

We work in English and Arabic. Project calls run in either. The studio time zone is Asia/Dubai (GST, UTC+4); we accommodate Europe, the UK, and the eastern US comfortably. The western US and East Asia work with deliberate scheduling.
