Your account settings cover the parts of Brand Atlas that are personal to you across every atlas you have access to. Email, password, two-factor authentication, your displayed name, and the preferences that follow you between atlases. Open Settings → Account. The page is divided into five sections.

Profile

  • Display name. How your name appears in attribution, comments, and Update Requests. Editable.
  • Avatar. Optional. Upload an image or use the initial generated from your display name.
  • Pronouns. Optional. Displayed in attribution.
  • Time zone. Used for scheduling, expiry calculations on passes, and email digest timing.
  • Language. The portal’s interface language. English and Arabic supported at launch; further languages on the roadmap.

Sign-in

  • Email. Your sign-in email. Changing the email requires verification of both the old and new address.
  • Password. Change at any time. Requires the current password to set a new one.
  • Sign in with Apple, Google, Microsoft. Optional. Link a third-party identity provider for one-tap sign-in. Linked providers can be unlinked at any time.

Two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication is strongly recommended for brand owners and Editors. The atlas holds material with real consequences; the second factor is a small investment for a large reduction in account-takeover risk. Brand Atlas supports:
  • Authenticator app. Time-based one-time codes from any TOTP app (1Password, Authy, Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator). Most common choice.
  • Passkeys. WebAuthn / FIDO2 passkeys. Most resilient; supported on modern macOS, iOS, Android, and Windows devices.
  • Hardware security key. YubiKey or equivalent. Belt-and-braces for high-security environments.
SMS-based 2FA is not supported, on the basis that SMS-based 2FA has known weaknesses (SIM-swap attacks) that the alternatives do not share.

Sessions

A list of every active session on your account: device, browser, location, last activity. You can sign out of a single session or all sessions other than the current one. When you change your password, all sessions other than the current one are signed out automatically.

Notifications

A summary of your notification settings. The full configuration is on Settings → Notifications and described on Notifications.

Switching between atlases

If your account has access to more than one brand atlas, the atlas switcher is in the top-left of the portal beside the brand name. Account settings are shared across all atlases you can access; brand owner settings are per-atlas.

Closing your account

To close your account entirely (across every atlas), write to support@brandatlas.pro. Account closure is irreversible after a 30-day grace period. If you only want to leave a specific atlas:
  • As a team member. Ask the brand owner to remove you. You can also leave from Settings → Atlas → Leave.
  • As an editor. Same as team member.
  • As a brand owner. Transfer authorship to another team member first. Until authorship is transferred, you cannot leave; the atlas cannot be ownerless.
