Coming soon. Oswald is still being tested and is not open to client accounts yet. Until he is, Oswald in the sidebar shows a padlock. This guide shows how he works, so you are ready when he opens.
Start a conversation
- Click Oswald at the bottom of the sidebar. You land on What can Oswald help with today?
- Type in Ask Oswald anything about your brand…, or click one of the suggestions underneath, such as What does the brand say about our tone of voice?
- Press Enter to send. The conversation opens, and it is saved in the list on the left.
Ask from any page
You do not have to leave the page you are on. The Oswald bar sits at the bottom of every page and already knows where you are: on Brand Voice it reads Ask about Brand Voice.- Type your question in the bar and press Enter.
- His answer opens above the bar, over the page. The conversation follows you if you move to another page.
Let him make a change
When you ask for a change, Oswald shows you the words he would write in a card.- Click Write this one to put it on the page. The card then reads Written to and the page name, with Have a look and Put it back.
- Click Change something to tell him what to adjust, or Not this to ask for a different direction.
- If you are editing that page and have not published yet, the change goes into your draft instead.
Choose how much he does alone
The button beside where you type shows the mode. Click it to choose, or press Shift and Tab in the Oswald bar to cycle through.- Always ask: he shows you the exact words and waits for a yes. This is where everyone starts.
- Ask once: say yes once, and he gets on with the rest of that conversation.
- Auto: he makes the change and you look at it afterwards.
Good to know
- Your conversations are private to you. Find old ones in the list on Oswald’s page, or with Search conversations. New conversation starts fresh.
- A new Horizon always asks first, whatever the mode.
- Pictures are yours. Oswald writes words. He does not change images or make artwork.
- Coming next: Oswald will fill in your eight sections from your website and documents when you set up a brand.
- Oswald can make mistakes. Double-check anything important.
