# Acceptable Use Policy

> What you, your team and anyone you share a link with may not do with Brand Atlas.

<Warning>
  **Draft, not yet in force.** This document is being reviewed and will change before it applies to anyone. *Last updated: 4 October 2026.*
</Warning>

## Who this covers

Everyone who uses Brand Atlas: account owners, team members, AI apps acting for them, and anyone who opens a share link. Account owners agree to it as part of the [Terms of Service](/legal/terms), and are responsible for the people they invite and share with.

## Content you may not upload or share

* Content you do not have the rights to, including fonts, photos, music or artwork licensed only for someone else, or for a different use.
* Content that breaks the law, including material that is defamatory, harassing, threatening, or that promotes violence or hatred.
* Sexual content involving minors, of any kind. We report it to the authorities.
* Malware, or files designed to harm a device or trick the people who open them.
* Personal data about other people that you have no right to hold or share.
* Content made to deceive, such as passing a brand off as someone else's, or phishing pages.

## Using the service

Do not:

* try to get into accounts, brands or data that are not yours;
* probe, scan or test our systems for weaknesses, except as allowed on the [Security](/legal/security) page;
* copy or scrape Brand Atlas at scale, or use it to build a competing product;
* overload the service, or get round rate limits, plan limits or other controls;
* use Brand Atlas as general file hosting, or to share large files with the public unrelated to your brand;
* resell or sublicense access, except to the team members your plan allows;
* misuse the AI features, as set out in the [AI terms](/legal/ai-terms).

## Reporting content

If you think something on Brand Atlas breaks this policy, or infringes your copyright or trademark, write to \[TEAM TO CONFIRM: abuse and takedown contact email] with:

* the link to the content;
* what is wrong with it, and, for a rights claim, which rights are yours;
* how to reach you.

We look at every report and reply.

## What we can do

If content or behaviour breaks this policy, we may, depending on how serious it is:

* remove the content, or switch off a share link;
* ask the account owner to put it right;
* limit features on the account;
* suspend or close the account, as set out in the [Terms of Service](/legal/terms).

Where it is reasonable and lawful, we tell the account owner what we did and why, and give them a chance to respond.

## Changes
