# Plans, trial and billing

> The three plans, the 14-day trial, the free third month, block packs, and what happens when you change or cancel.

**Plans:** everyone. Billing is managed by the account owner.

Every account starts with a free 14-day trial. After that you choose a plan: Scout is free for good, and Keeper is the paid plan. One plan covers every brand you own.

Every plan includes Brand Files, ATLAS.md, the Playground and [Connect your AI](/guides/connect-your-ai). Paying for a year instead of monthly saves you two months.

## The 14-day trial

When you sign up you get **Explorer**, a 14-day trial with Keeper's features, so you can try everything. During the trial you can own 3 brands with 3 seats, make 3 Atlas links and 3 Horizons, and use 15 free blocks per Horizon.

You get a reminder in the app 5 days before the trial ends, and again the day before. If you do not subscribe, your account moves to the free Scout plan when the trial ends. Nothing is deleted.

## Subscribe, and get your third month free

1. Open your account settings, then **Billing**, then **Plans**.
2. Choose **Monthly** or **Annual**, then click **Subscribe** on Keeper. After your trial the button reads **Upgrade**.
3. Enter your card on Stripe's secure checkout page. You can add a promotion code there.

If you subscribe during your trial, nothing is charged until the trial's 14 days are up.

**Your third month is on us** if you subscribe to a **monthly** plan with at least 4 days of your trial left, in other words by day 10. You pay for months one and two, month three is free, and normal billing carries on from month four. Annual plans already include their saving, so they do not get the free month.

## Manage your payment and invoices

1. Open your account settings, then **Billing**, then **Payment and invoices**.
2. Click **Manage** to change your card, or **View invoices** to see and download past invoices.

Both open Stripe's billing page. **Current plan** shows your plan, how you pay and when it renews. To move to a different plan, click **Change plan** there.

## Cancel

1. In **Payment and invoices**, click **Cancel subscription**. Stripe's page walks you through it.
2. Your plan keeps running until the end of the period you have paid for. **Current plan** shows the date, and that access stops then.
3. After that date your account moves to the free Scout plan.

## Block packs

Each Horizon comes with free blocks set by your plan. If you need more, buy a block pack.

1. Open **Horizon Dash** in the sidebar.
2. Click the basket icon, **Block packs**.
3. Click **Buy** under 5 blocks ($5), 10 blocks ($9) or 20 blocks (\$16).

The extra blocks are shared across all of that brand's Horizons, never expire and stay when you change plan. Block packs are non-refundable.

## Good to know

* **Moving to a smaller plan never deletes anything.** Sections your new plan does not include become read-only: you can still see everything, and editing comes back when you upgrade. Brands and seats over the new limits stay; you just cannot add more.
* **If a payment fails,** your account works as Scout until the payment goes through. **Current plan** shows **Payment issue**, and **Manage** lets you update your card.
* **Team members do not see billing.** They see a note asking the brand's owner to upgrade.
* **Guardian is coming soon.** Its card shows **Not yet available** until it opens.
