# Horizons

> Add your own sections to your Atlas for anything the standard eight don't cover.

export const Screenshot = ({name, alt}) => {
  const SHOW_SCREENSHOTS = true;
  if (!SHOW_SCREENSHOTS) return null;
  return <Frame>
      <img className="block dark:hidden" src={`/images/${name}-light.png`} alt={alt} />
      <img className="hidden dark:block" src={`/images/${name}-dark.png`} alt={alt} />
    </Frame>;
};

**Plans:** Scout, Keeper and Guardian. Scout gets 3 Horizons, Keeper 5 and Guardian 10.

Your Atlas comes with eight fixed sections, from About to Stationery. A Horizon is a section you make yourself, for anything those eight don't cover: packaging rules, a product range, a campaign. Once published, it sits in your sidebar under **Horizons**, beside the rest of your brand.

## Make a Horizon

1. In the sidebar, open **Horizon Dash** (under **Treasures**). You can also press the **+** next to the **Horizons** heading, or **Publish your first horizon** if you have none yet.
2. Near the top of the page, a meter shows how many Horizons you have and how many your plan allows.

3. Pick how to start:
   * **Start with an empty canvas** opens a blank Horizon in the editor.
   * **Browse templates** opens a gallery. Click a template to preview it, then press **Use this template**.

4. Add your content in the editor, then press **Publish**. Until you publish, the Horizon waits in the **Draft** tab on Horizon Dash and does not appear in your sidebar.

## Manage your Horizons

Horizon Dash has three tabs: **Published**, **Draft** and **Archive**. Hover over a Horizon to see its buttons:

* **Rename** changes its title. Press Enter to save or Esc to cancel.
* **Publish** or **Unpublish** puts it in your sidebar or takes it out.
* **Remove** moves it to the **Archive**. Nothing is lost.
* Drag a Horizon to change its order in your sidebar. Click its icon to choose a different one.

## Bring one back, or delete it

1. Open the **Archive** tab on Horizon Dash.
2. Press **Revoke** to bring a Horizon back. It returns as a draft, so publish it again when you're ready.
3. Or press **Delete**. Choose **Download MDX & Delete** to keep a copy of the content first, or **Delete anyway**.

## Good to know

* **Archived Horizons still count** towards your plan's limit. Only **Delete** frees up a slot.
* **Revoke needs a free slot.** If all your plan's slots are in use, remove another Horizon first, or upgrade.
* **During the 14-day Explorer trial** you can have 3 Horizons.
* **If you move to a smaller plan**, the Horizons over your new limit move to the Archive. The ones published most recently stay live.
* **Each Horizon includes a number of free blocks**: 15 on Scout, 25 on Keeper, 50 on Guardian. Block packs, from the basket at the end of the tabs on Horizon Dash, add more ([how block packs work](/guides/plans-and-billing#block-packs)).
* **Build with Oswald** is shown on Horizon Dash but is not available yet.

**Next:** [Brand blocks](/guides/brand-blocks): palettes, fonts, logos and the other blocks a brand needs.
