# Brand Files

> Keep your logos, photography, fonts and documents in one place, with folders, search and a Trash.

export const Screenshot = ({name, alt}) => {
  const SHOW_SCREENSHOTS = true;
  if (!SHOW_SCREENSHOTS) return null;
  return <Frame>
      <img className="block dark:hidden" src={`/images/${name}-light.png`} alt={alt} />
      <img className="hidden dark:block" src={`/images/${name}-dark.png`} alt={alt} />
    </Frame>;
};

**Plans:** Scout, Keeper and Guardian. Bookmarks need Keeper or Guardian.

Brand Files is where your brand's files live: logos, photography, fonts, brand books and anything else your team reaches for. You can sort them into folders, find anything with search, preview images, PDFs and videos without downloading them, and save links to resources that live elsewhere.

## Upload files

1. Click **Brand Files** in the sidebar. You land on the **Files** tab.
2. Open the folder you want the files in, or stay at the top level.
3. Click **Upload**. A panel titled **Upload to** and the folder's name opens, showing how much of your storage is used.
4. Drag files into the box that says **Drag files here or browse**, or click **browse** to pick them. To keep a whole folder's structure, click **Upload a folder** instead.
5. Click **Upload**. Your files appear in the folder as they finish.

You can also drag files from your computer straight onto a folder card to upload them into that folder.

## Make folders

1. On the **Files** tab, click **New folder**.
2. Type a **Folder name** and click **Create folder**.

Folders can sit inside other folders. Use **Back** to go up a level. To move something, drag its card onto a folder, or right-click it and choose **Move to…**.

## Find and preview a file

1. Type in the search bar at the top, **Search folders, files and bookmarks…**. Press **Cmd K** (or **Ctrl K**) to jump to it. Searching inside a folder looks in that folder.
2. Click a file to open its details panel, which shows its type, size, when it was added and where it is used.
3. Click **Open** in the panel to see it full size. Images, PDFs and videos open right in Brand Files.

You can also right-click a file and choose **Preview**. To keep a file close at hand, click **Star** in its details panel, then find it with the star icon at the end of the tab row.

## Delete and restore

1. Right-click a file or folder and choose **Delete**.
2. Choose **Move to Trash**, or **Delete permanently instead** if you are sure.
3. To get something back, click **Trash** on the **Files** tab, then **Restore** beside it. **Restore all** brings back everything.

Anything left in the Trash is removed for good after 30 days. **Empty trash** removes it all straight away.

## Check your storage

Click the info icon, **Plan and storage info**, at the end of the tab row. It shows **Storage used**, how full your plan is, and the largest file you can upload.

| Plan | Storage | Largest file |
| - | - | - |
| Scout | 10 GB | 50 MB |
| Keeper | 120 GB | 500 MB |
| Guardian | 250 GB | 1 GB |

When you replace a file, the old version is kept, and it counts towards your storage. If you have kept versions, or images on pages you haven't published yet, a **Free up space** section appears here. Tick the versions you no longer need (or pick **Everything** or **Older than a year**) and click **Free up space**. Your files themselves are not touched.

## Save bookmarks

The **Bookmarks** tab holds links to brand resources that live somewhere else, such as Figma, Drive or Dropbox.

1. Click the **Bookmarks** tab.
2. Click **Add bookmark**, enter a **Title** and the **URL**, then click **Add bookmark**.
3. Click **New folder** to group them.

On Keeper, bookmark folders sit at the top level. Guardian can put folders inside folders.

**Next:** [Sharing your brand](/guides/sharing): give a printer or a freelancer a read-only link.
